SITE'S HISTORY & ACHIEVEMENTS (What we have achieved so far)

Every since the "Get Lifted" days I've been loyally following John's career, and he's come to mean a lot to me. I'm always inspired by his music! I listen to it every day - when I'm stressing out about something, or when I'm feeling down - his music always makes me feel better immediatley. So I owe JL for that!
John Legend Online (aka John-Legend.net) was officialy launched on October 16, 2005. I am running this website because John Legend is a huge inspiration to me. I first heard him on "Used To Love U" - I liked that song so much that it was playing on my iPod all the time every day. But it was not yet the moment when I totally fell in love with JL music. When I heard "Ordinary People", that's when I was sold. This ballad is so beautiful and sounds so different than the tracks I had heard on the radio every day. So here I am presenting you the site that will always provide you with all the latest news, photos and media files. Live it up y'all! :)

Update 10-16-2006: It's been a year since John-Legend.net started. When I decided to set up this website I didn't even realize that it would bring me so much joy! This site gave me an opportunity to meet so many cool people & believe it or not, real friends as well. That's amazing how John Legend music can unite people from all over the world. After all the hard work & effort I put into this site, I'm very glad to say that our achievements are pretty amazing so far! Read below.

Update 12-09-2006: Yeah, baby! My dream came true & I finally got to see JL and the band perform live and also meet Mr. Legend after the show! John did his best to make my experience memorable, I will never forget it. Read more here.

Update 10-16-2007: Yup, another year and we're still going strong! Many new sections have been created for you to enjoy, including the Homeschool page, where you can learn more on John's record label and its artists. Estelle and Vaughn are doing their thang! Again, thanks for all the support I got from you, ppl! :)

Achievements:
• Our biggest success is definitely the fact that John Legend knows about this site & appreciates my work. I got several e-mails from him saying that he loves it and is truly impressed. He also thanked me for running J-L.net in person when I met him in Berlin, Germany in December 2006. Thx John, that means a lot to me!
• My other great success related with John Legend Online is an interview that I had with Andrew McGinn, the Ohio reporter of Springfield News Sun. He wrote an article about websites dedicated to John Legend (February 2006) and I was one of the three lucky webmasters that had been chosen. Click here to read it.
• John-Legend.net won "Best Male R&B Artist Website" at Fan Source Awards on August 15, 2006.
• John-Legend.net was mentioned in Kees Smallegange's article for a Dutch magazine called Jazz (November 2006).
• I've been in touch with representatives of such companies/organisations like: AOL Music, Oor.nl, Warnerbros, Target, Scott Kay, Christian Audigier, Rap-Up, Sony/BMG, Urban Music Awards, Ticketsnow.com, MTV, MOBO and many more.
• We are the most popular John Legend fansite on the net! Feel free and google us!
• I helped oraganizing the John Legend Network's annual event - "The Kings and Queens Bash". My name was mentioned on the official program leaflet.
