He co-wrote the second single on John Legend’s second album, Once Again. He's John Legend's younger brother. VA accompanied his brother on the Fall 2006 Once Again tour as a background singer and occasional opening act. He goes by the stage name "Mr. Everything". His greatest influences are: Stevie Wonder, Stephens Family, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Mint Condition, Brian McKnight, & Joe. During the mid-eighties, VA wrote his first song entitled "Jesus Died Up On The Cross". Vaughn is multi-talented as he's an athlete, artist, actor and singer/songwriter. He has a band consisting of a bass, electric guitar, keyboard player, drummer, DJ and three background singers. They're known as the Vaughn Anthony Group. He's John Legend's back-up singer. The VA Group was the opening act for Bootsy Collins in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born in Springfield, Ohio. Vaughn is the 1999 North High grad. Vaughn grew up sort of like Bizarro John — he had brushes with the law (most notably for bringing some weed to school) and quit Clark State twice. He is married with two kids. He wants his first album to sound like Legend's "Get Lifted," only heavier on the hip-hop. VA has a little cameo in John Legend's first video "Used To Love You" and in Estelle's latest videoclip for her first single off "Shine", "Wait A Minute (Just A Touch)". He delayed the release of his first cd, as he played a local pastor who walked away from a big-time record deal to pursue the ministry in a musical called "From Motown to Gospel." VA is working on his new album together with producer Teddy Riley.
