To most hip hop fans Estelle needs no introduction. In 2002 Tim Westwood declared her as a UK talent to look out for and last year Music Week cited her as the one UK rapper most likely to challenge the mainstream. Among the admirers was 1Xtra DJ Skitz, who immediately asked her to appear on his groundbreaking album Countryman. Skitz remains a firm fan: "She is the Queen of British Hip Hop and one of the most prolific lyricists I know. Shes killed every live show I've done with her and people fall at her knees. Beautiful, funny and humble she is loved by everyone on the UK scene and if she doesn't make it I feel worried for the rest of us." And so - my story begins with me being surrounded by so much talent. I give credit to my parents and siblings for being my most positive and influential support. As a young boy, I spent years observing my family and their various 'gifts' ranging from being an artist, to a seamstress, to a musician among so many more talents than this mere list can give justice. During the mid-eighties, I wrote my first song entitled, Jesus Died up on the Cross, and was given the opportunity to sing this very song during an Easter program. The reaction I received was overwhelming and joyous and as far back as I can remember - one of the most fulfilling moments thus far in my life. T J G (The James Gang) - Is an updated 1920s Vaudevillian throw back style group of three magical entertainers that sing songs, dance, ride unicycles, perform magic and blow fire to name just a few of the things they do in their full show. There are (3) main performers with more background performers to come as the movement grows. T J G consists of Jellyroll James, Deacon Boondini and the Great Gatsby for short we go by Jelly, Deacon and Gatsby This group dresses in a high fashion style that is not seen today in music. It is the mission of the group to restore real performances back into the African American community and the world community at large.
