Ashlee Simpson-Wentz traded her stylish maternity wardrobe for trailer-park chic Friday night, at a costume party to celebrate her 24th birthday.

"It had a white-trash theme," says a guest who attended the bash at Simpson's parents' home in Encino. "Ashlee wore Daisy Dukes and platform flip-flops with a bathing suit and a fake tattoo around her belly."

The singer celebrated with friends and family including husband Pete Wentz, dad Joe and sister Jessica.

"Joe wore a cut-off muscle T-shirt and a mullet wig. It was funny," says a guest. "Jessica was wearing a crazy leopard-print dress that showed off a lot of cleavage."

The menu included corn dogs, macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers and French fries.

With her first child due next month, an exhausted Simpson-Wentz headed home early, missing party guests Christina Aguilera, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, who dropped by after hitting Gwen Stefani's birthday party earlier that night.

"Ashlee loves themed parties and costumes," says a friend. Last year, guests sported prom dresses, vintage tuxedos and fingerless gloves as Simpson-Wentz celebrated her birthday with an '80s bash.

I get regular botox treatments and can't wait to get back to it. I would just like to say I am 24 years old and have never gotten botox in my entire life. And I'm not planning on it, maybe come back to me when I turn 50.
Secondly, I read that I sleep with hundreds of teddy bears. With Pete, Hemingway and Rigby (our two bulldogs) and a baby on the way there is not room for anything else (trust me).

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, eating a late dinner with husband Pete Wentz at David Burke's Primehouse inside Chicago's The James Hotel. The couple was joined by Wentz's father and friends. Simpson ordered a well-done steak and acted very "lovey dovey" with her husband. Before their dinner, the pair were spotted sitting in the front row during the opening night of Chicago Fashion Focus, an event that Wentz hosted.

Jessica Simpson’s pre-taped two-song performance had a surprise guest: little sis Ashlee Simpson Wentz snuck in just before Jessica started her first song. Wearing jeans and a black flowing shirt, the mom-to-be sat with three female friends and joined in on both of her sister’s well-earned standing ovations. She slipped out the side door as soon as taping finished.

Ashlee Simpson can't sleep without her cuddly toys. The singer, who is expecting her first child with husband Pete Wentz, has received hundreds of stuffed bears since announcing her pregnancy and reportedly can't bear to be parted from them when she goes to bed.

A source said: "She has so many teddy bears and loves them so much she has filled her bed with them. It is a little crowded, but Pete gives in to whatever Ashlee wants. It is really sweet."

Ashlee, 23, recently revealed her excitement at her impending motherhood.
She said: "We're getting the nursery ready. I can't wait to be a mom and he can't wait to be a dad, so it's fun.

"The baby is my main focus right now. This is definitely the happiest moment in my life."

Despite their preparations, Ashlee and Fall Out Boy star Pete, 29, haven't chosen a name for the baby yet. Joking about calling the child Orange, Ashlee added: "I don't think it's something we'll decide until the baby comes."

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has been blond and brunette, but she got great reviews when she started rocking red back in January — so she isn’t letting her pregnancy extinguish her fiery locks. “She didn’t want to stop dyeing her hair, so she uses herbal hair color that’s safe for pregnant women,” an insider tells In Touch. “She loves her hair red, and so does [her husband] Pete [Wentz]!” Pete confirms, “I had a Jessica Rabbit crush when I was little.” Ashlee, 24, and Pete are expecting their first child, a son, in late November.
