Rock'n'Roll legend Chubby Checker wants to record duets with Justin Timberlake and Beyonce Knowles - because he believes he inspired their music and dancing. Checker claims his 1960 hit The Twist revolutionised dancing, and Timberlake and Knowles are his disciples. He says, "Before Chubby Checker there was no dancing apart to the beat. The world forever changed the way it danced. "I'd love to play with Justin Timberlake or Beyonce, because everytime these kids throw their arms up in the air or move their feet, they're doing my dances. I have a connection with these young people. "I'm one of the best performers that ever lived; I don't mean to sound big-headed, but I know what I can do onstage."
Beyonce Knowles has scheduled her first concert in Korea. The American queen of R&B will perform at the Olympic Park gymnastics arena on Nov. 9 and 10. The show is a stop on Knowles' 2007 B'Day World Tour which included a concert in April at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.
If you receive emails that claim they will direct you to the latest Beyonce, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson or P. Diddy video then think twice before clicking on the link. That's the advice from security experts who are warning of a Trojan horse that will hijack your PC and could turn it into a spam-generating 'bot'. The emails have subject lines such as 'cool video is out' and 'dude this is not even on MTV yet'. Read more.

Merced native Army Sgt. Monica Estrada, 30, was one of five National Guard soldiers honored by famed vocalist Beyonce Knowles on Tuesday evening for their service in Iraq. Estrada was chosen to attend "The Beyonce Experience" concert at the Save Mart Center in Fresno as part of the Army's Operation Tribute to Freedom Program, which recognizes returning soldiers for their service in Iraq and Afghanistan.
What's the best part about being the UFC light heavyweight champion? According to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, it's the chance to meet former Destiny's Child singer Beyonce. "My favorite thing since being champion has been meeting Beyonce," he says in an interview with msnbc.com. "I don't think I would have got that unless I was champion." Jackson, who will defend his light heavyweight belt against Dan "Hollywood" Henderson on September 8, met the pop superstar at a concert in his home town of Memphis. And what does "Rampage" have to say to mixed martial arts fans hoping to meet him? "I hope to meet each and everyone of you guys and shake your hands, or smack your face," he says. "Which ever one you want."
Beyonce's embarrassing wardrobe malfunction during a concert in Canada has become a YouTube sensation. A YouTube video that shows Beyonce's shirt flying up around her neck during a concert in Toronto has had more than two million views. Beyonce had nothing on underneath her shirt, giving fans an unexpected glimpse at her exposed chest. It didn't take long for footage of the incident to find its way to the net. The clip has had almost two million views on YouTube.
Singer-actress-diva Beyonce made her way in surprisingly quick fashion to her afterparty at Stingaree after a sexy, energetic, two-hour concert at Cox Arena. The Beyonce Experience ended before 11 p.m., and Beyonce was at Sting before the stroke of midnight. Access was extremely limited to Beyonce, including no media photographers. Her entourage and she, dressed in a sparkling silver mini-dress, had rock star treatment in their own VIP room, of course, but she did address the Sunday night crowd briefly to thank them for showing up. Not one to rest after a concert, Beyonce could be seen mingling, dancing (to the left, to the left, but no Beyonce bounce or old school) and taking a shot of Don Julio.
Solange Knowles recently inked a worldwide co-publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing. Solange, sister of Beyonce Knowles, has written or co-written hits for artists in the Music World Entertainment stable including Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, and Beyoncé. Her most recent lyrical hits include Beyoncé's "Get Me Bodied," "Upgrade U" and "Flaws and All" from the multi-platinum selling album, B'Day. "Solange first came to our attention four years ago when her father and manager, Mathew Knowles, pointed her out to me," said Big Jon Platt via a statement, who signed the deal along with former Music World Executive and East Coast Creative Director, Omar Grant. "Immediately I knew something was there, that special quality that's hard to define, but one that you can't miss. Since then, we have come to know her as a songwriter of remarkable versatility and steady determination. She is a true professional and someone with a long and exciting career ahead of her." As previously reported on SOHH, Knowles is currently in the studio recording her sophomore CD, Solange & The Hadley Street Dreams, a collection of songs all co-written by Knowles, with appearances by Q-Tip and Bilal.

Ozlem Metinoglu is living her dream. The Halifax jewelry designer, who for years has loved Beyoncé, got a front-row view of the singing superstar wearing her earrings at a concert Aug. 15 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. And the 10-time Grammy-winner even gave a special nod to Metinoglu during the performance in which she sported the bejewelled chandelier creations. "It was insane," said Metinoglu recently, while showing off a bronze version of the big, round, sparkly earrings Beyoncé wore in silver. "She has this song Upgrade U, and in the song she sings ‘let me introduce you to some new things’ and she changed the lyrics and sang ‘introduce you to some fly things’ and looked at me with a smile on her face and pointed at me. "She’s such an inspiration. She’s the first celebrity I wanted my earrings on." Click here to continue reading. Thanks to Matt for sending me this link.
Rihanna has insisted that she does not regard Beyonce Knowles as a music rival. Recent reports have claimed that the 'Umbrella' singer has become Beyonce's "enemy". The rumours began after she was accused of making a move on Knowles' boyfriend Jay-Z. However, Rihanna has revealed that she is a big fan of the former Destiny's Child star, and especially enjoyed her most recent album, BDay."She's definitely not the enemy, it's not a competition. I love her, I love her so much," Rihanna told WENN. "I've bought that album three times - because my friends keep stealing it from me."

For the first time Beyonce has talked with someone about her stage fall. In an interview with CNN’s Lola Ogunnaike
the lane was open for questions about a moment in time that will be referred to and laughed about 10 years from now - and 10 years more. Beyonce served up the standard vanilla answer at first, but Lola, bless her heart, would not let the subject go. After getting the answer from Beyonce about how she got up, Lola goes back and basically asks the same thing again. Like she’s been transported back in time, pointing and calling people to her computer monitor… "look at this!" Check the video here.

Now that Gwen Stefani has bowed to demands by Malaysian officials that she not wear revealing outfits at her concert there earlier this week, officials are making the same demand on Beyoncé, citing protests by conservative Islamic critics who believe such Western performers can corrupt youths. Promoters have announced that Beyoncé is scheduled to perform Nov. 1 in the Southeast Asian country — but with caveats. "We've informed Beyoncé's management about this issue of clothes, but it takes some of the fun out of it," said Razlan Ahmad Razali, chairman of Pineapple Concerts, which is organizing Beyoncé's concert. "Beyoncé won't be able to do the kind of show here that she does elsewhere," Razlan said. "She's a fashion icon, and we know that she often wears miniskirts and clothes that expose her navel during her performances. It's a pity to restrict her, because her costumes are all tasteful and glamorous." Malaysia's government guidelines for public performances require a female artist to cover up from the top of her chest to her knees, including her shoulders. Performers may not hug or kiss.
Recording artist Beyonce will honor five Fort Carson soldiers at her concert at the Pepsi Center in Denver Wednesday night. The five soldiers will be recognized for their service in Iraq and Afghanistan. The recognitions are part of the Army’s Operation Tribute to Freedom program, which honors returning Soldiers for their service in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the Fort Carson soldiers in attendance will be Spc. Maurice Boozer. He and his unit were credited for pumping more than 10 billion gallons of fuel to deployed brigades and units.According to Operation Tribute to Freedom, Beyoncé will send out a special greeting and welcome to the soldiers before the concert.
It seems that singer Beyonce Knowles is not having much luck on the stage these days. After toppling down the stage at a concert in Florida last month, the ‘Naughty Girl’ singer shocked fans again - this time by baring her breasts onstage. The 25-year-old star suffered an apparent wardrobe malfunction while performing at the launch of her clothing line, Dereon, in Toronto, Canada. The footage of the accidental flashing was posted on the Internet, after Knowles' top flew up and exposed her bare breasts. However, the singer's rep insists that Knowles remained decent throughout the show, owing to her well-coordinated undergarments. "She was wearing a bra that perfectly matches her costume," E! Online quoted the rep, as saying.

Here's a message I just received with more info on Bee's new album: As the dates for Beyoncé to enter in the studio come closer, more exclusive details are being announced. As a member of Javier Limón production team, I can confirm you that the three duet songs with Alejandro Sanz I told you that could fit in the next Beyoncé album (Sentía, Bulerías del Alma, Tu Ausencia), have been deleted to a new song that Alejandro Sanz send us that it’s called “Duele”. The tune it’s composed by Alejandro Sanz himself with collaboration with Beyoncé for the English version. The producer Javier Limón has worked too in the composition with the flamenco and Bollywood style arrangements. I send you the demo, as a very (VERY) exclusive thing, but once again, it’s a demo that we recorded on Monday in Madrid Studio without Alejandro or Beyoncé. This song it’s going to be send to Miami where Rudy Perez is going to work on some new arrangements for the English version, which is going to be softer than the Spanish version (download). As Beyoncé is working in a fusion album, she has wanted to mix different styles from different countries in her new songs. This song shows so good the artistic direction that Beyoncé is taking in this new fusion album, which it’s going to appear in mid 2008. Flamenco, Bollywood melodies, Arabic and Greek ones… everything is going to be patent in her new effort that it’s going to be a massive hit all over the world!! I hope you enjoy this exclusive information and you share it with all the fans and with the rest of fan sites.
Remember the exclusive information on Beyone's new album that I posted here earlier this week? To prove that everything was official, here's a link of an interview where Beyonce herself confirms it! Take a look and remember, COB told you first! :-)
Beyonce exposed her breasts on stage at a concert in Canada during a 'wardrobe malfunction'.The Bootylicious singer's shirt flew up as she was dancing at a concert in Toronto - and she was not wearing anything underneath. Clearly embarrassed, Bee moved backwards and pulled down her flowing shirt, holding on to it as she completed her dance routine. Fans who captured the scene on mobile phones have already begun posting the footage on YouTube.
With the days of styling her daughter Beyonce and the rest of Destiny's Child behind her, Tina Knowles is venturing into making clothing for women her own age. Knowles has partnered with the Home Shopping Network to introduce her line of apparel and accessories, called "Miss Tina." The clothes are described as being designed for "women of confidence" and include "couture styling" and attention to detail. Prices range from $39 to $99, with footwear and accessories available from $69 to $250. "Miss Tina" debuted over the weekend as part of "Fall Fashion Week."
Patrick sent me new pics of Beyonce and mum, Tina looking on as her sister Solange performs songs from her new album at Spotlight Live, NYC last night.
For pure spectacle, it would be tough to top Beyonce's performance at the United Center on Saturday. The two-hour event, which had the feel and staging of a Vegas revue, featured multiple costume changes, an all-female, 13-piece band and more booty-shaking than a Wrecks-N-Effect video. Beyonce, flanked by two male dancers decked out like extras from "Rollerball," opened the show with a fiery "Crazy in Love," the song's percussive drive fueled by a trio of drummers. The tune set the stage for a night where relationships were celebrated ("Dangerously in Love 2"), dismissed as unnecessary ("Independent Women Part 1") and even incorporated into traffic safety lessons ("Green means go," she purred on the double-entendre "Green Light"). Female empowerment, while not as transparent as the Spice Girls' mid-90s cries of "girl power," was also a constant theme throughout the evening. The strutting "Me, Myself and I" found the singer cutting herself free from a bad relationship; "Irreplaceable," by turn, saw her forcing the man to the street ("Everything you own in a box to the left," she sang on the refrain). "Ring the Alarm" was even more ferocious in concert, Beyonce howling like a woman pushed well beyond her limits. The male presence was limited to a quartet of dancers who spent much of their time shirtless and writhing at the star's feet -- eye candy for the mostly female audience. Read more.

Beyonce Knowles says she learnt to treat fans respectfully from actor-rapper Will Smith, whose perfect behaviour overwhelmed her as a teenager. Knowles was just 15 when she met Smith for the first time at a soundtrack signing for his 1997 movie 'Men In Black'. His charming ways made quite an impression on her, reports contactmusic.com Knowles said: 'We were the last people he met. I said, 'I don't care if I ever get that famous, I will always be like him'.'

There weren't many fans walking out of Beyonce's Saturday night show at Chicago's United Center saying, "I wish she had sung ..." That's because the R&B singer made an obvious effort to perform just about every song she's known for in her two-hour concert (though sometimes in truncated versions), from the first Destiny's Child hits to last year's sublime solo smash, "Irreplaceable." Other songs from the 2006 record "B'Day," like the soulful "Deja Vu" and sassy "Suga Mama," were given prime placement and performed ably by a 13-member, all-female backing band during what's billed as "The Beyonce Experience." With her well-oiled band planted on a stage of illuminated steps for the entire show, Beyonce rarely relied on backing tapes (making exceptions for portions of raps from Sean Paul and boyfriend Jay-Z and the wheezing horn sample from "Upgrade U"). Did Beyonce worry about her fall on stage in Orlando. Not a lot ... at first, the singer tells "Extra." "Actually, I was so in shock and in so much pain, I didn't think about that," she says. "I knew it would end up on YouTube. It was a little embarrassing ... and I know I'll fall again." Not soon, let's hope. Better to talk about her high points than the low ones. And let's face it: There aren't many low ones with Beyonce. As for the MTV Video Music Awards, Beyonce described her seven nominations as "amazing." "I don't think I'm going to be performing this year, which is good, because I can relax and enjoy the show," she tells "Extra." Well, that's not good news for viewers. The awards will be handed out Sept. 9.
Beyonce is looking to upgrade a few lucky fans attending her concert in Chicago this weekend. The singer is holding a pre-concert food drive, where concertgoers will be able to enter a raffle for the chance to get a better seat. The first 1,000 fans to drop off at least three non-perishable food items or five bucks in donations will get a raffle ticket as well as an autographed photo of Beyonce. The food drive is also open to the public. A news release says the singer is holding the drive at several of her U.S. tour stops to
support her minister, Pastor Rudy Rasmus, and America's Second Harvest. The donations collected in Chicago will go to the city's food bank.

Beyonce, one of the world’s biggest rhythm and blues stars, will perform in Kuala Lumpur on Nov 1. Malaysia will be one of the stops, besides Thailand, for the award-winning singer’s debut appearance in South-east Asia. Pineapple Concerts chairman Razlan Ahmad Razali said Beyonce’s management had agreed to stage a concert in Malaysia. “We are now working out details, such as the terms and conditions and the venue,” he told The Star in an interview. Pineapple Concerts is well known for bringing big bands into the country, including Earth, Wind and Fire and Grammy winner Kanye West earlier this year. Read more.
Any monetary remuneration aside, Beyoncé Knowles gets one major perk from being the celebrity face of Giorgio Armani's Emporio Armani Diamonds fragrance. Tons, and she means tons, of very expensive clothes, gratis. "Now that I'm doing these appearances, they bring me racks of clothes — and I get to keep them," she says with a giggle. "All of them. Even the ones I don't wear that day. I have storage here and in Houston — I have to ship a lot of the clothes. It's too many great clothes. I've got no complaints. It's so cool." How many Armani gowns does she own? Knowles is stumped. "A hundred. A lot? It's very cool." Read more.

I just got this information from a Spanish Sony/BMG representative: Yesterday, 15 th of August, we received a demo CD with three flamenco songs that are called: "Sentía", "Bulerías del Alma", "Tu Ausencia". They are slow jams produced by Javier Limón and Rudy Perez, and one of them is supposed to be recorded by Beyoncé and Alejandro Sanz for his crossover record. Beyoncé is also set to include the song in her new album, which is due for release in mid 2008. The new record is going to be based in samplers from traditional songs all over the world. It is rumoured that the first single is going to be called "Dance" feat. Shahrukh Khan. The first CD is going to be in English, and the second one will have versions of the new songs in different languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese) with special guest from different countries such us Alejandro Sanz and Jorge Drexler.

Flanked by her look-alike younger sister Solange and mum Tina, Beyonce Knowles caused a sensation when she appeared in Toronto to unveil a new range for younger women under House of Dereon label. The striking trio, all wearing black and gold garments from the line, were mobbed by fans, many of whom were employees in shops surrounding the city's swish Ultra Supper Club where the launch took place. Just hours before she was to perform at the Air Canada Centre, the Dreamgirl told followers that the new creations were about "a trendy woman, a woman that loves style". Mum Tina, the stylist for the bootylicious diva ever since her earliest Destiny's Child days and the designer behind the Dereon brand, promised "a lot of emphasis on fit, and just really cool stuff, lots of graphics and cool, young things". True to her word, inside the venue, models strutted the catwalk to pulsating rhythms, showing a collection heavy on gold detailing and embellishments on fitted dark jeans, shirts and hoodies. Heavy gold chains accented many of the pieces, which featured prints from leopard to camouflage.

Beyonce is set to release the Spanish language version of a selection of tracks from her 'B'Day' album this month. The Spanish EP, 'Irreemplazable', will feature eight tracks sung in Spanish, including three different renditions of her duet with Shakira, 'Beautiful Liar', and as the title suggests, a Spanish 'Irreplaceable'. The EP also features a cover of the Spanish telenovela (soap opera) theme song 'Amor Gitano' as a duet with Latino artist Alejandro Fernandez, and 'Oye', the Spanish adaptation of her single 'Listen' from the 'Dreamgirls' soundtrack.

Unreleased duets beloved R&B star Luther Vandross recorded with Beyonce Knowles and Frank Sinatra are to feature in a new box set of the late star's hits. The comprehensive new four-CD collection, Love, Luther, features the soul man's greatest hits, rare recordings and unreleased tracks. As well as duets with Knowles and Sinatra, collaborations with Dionne Warwick, Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson will also appear in the box set for the first time. Beyoncé posed triumphantly at the front of the Verizon Center stage on Thursday, her body dripping with silver spangles. Smoke swirled around her. Sparks fell behind her. The music swelled. The audience shrieked. It had the look and sound of an exultant encore. But Beyoncé was just getting started by making the sort of dramatic, over-the-top entrance about which every aspiring diva dreams. Her fabulous presence sufficiently acknowledged, the singer got down to the business of singing -- and, yes, dancing. (What, you expected the star of a tour that's being billed as "The Beyoncé Experience" to sit on a stool?) As her band ripped into "Crazy in Love," the brassy song's go-go beat sent Beyoncé twitching and stomping across the stage in stilettos as she belted the love-crossed lyrics with fury. Beyonce Knowles made a surprise visit to a group of teenage girls attending a forum against violence before her concert Thursday in Washington. The 25-year-old pop singer — clad in silver high heels, jeans and a gray blouse — shook hands and chatted for about 15 minutes with about 70 girls gathered at the Verizon Center. She posed with them in groups as a photographer in her entourage snapped pictures. The Defining Our Own Destiny Forum for girls was organized by District of Columbia Council member Kwame Brown and his staff as a counterweight to the many anti-violence programs in the city for teenage boys. "We have so much youth violence in this city," Brown said. "So many people shooting each other up. So many drive-by shootings, and young girl gangs are on the rise in this city. But these girls have a lot of power getting this to stop." Continue reading here.

Beyonce Knowles took a spill seen around the world about two and a half weeks ago. Britney Spears once took a little trip in Japan, all can be seen nowaday courtesy of YouTube.
Nowadays when a celebrity takes a tumble, there is less than 24 hours before the footage is fodder for global media scrutiny. In actuality, the celebrity spill is nothing new. Here are 10 performers who literally paved the way - face first mind you - for Beyonce's painful but hilarious gaynor we'll keep as number 11.
At this point, it may seem premature for Beyonce to launch a summer tour in which she extravagantly celebrates her career. She's only 26. But in the past decade, the pop diva (and the Houston native has definitely earned that title) has accomplished more than most performers ever do, with multiplatinum sales, multiple Grammys and multiple endorsement deals. During the two-hour Beyonce Experience, the artist's splashy tour that stopped at 1st Mariner Arena on Wednesday night, she exulted in her star power. The show revolved around her charismatic presence. There were about seven costume changes - most of them sparkly silver get-ups, from flowing gowns to flesh-toned body suits. And there were plenty of video close-ups of Beyonce's lovely face as her long, honey-colored hair extensions were blown around by fans. Oh, the drama. Oh, the self-indulgence. And Beyonce pulled it off brilliantly. Read more.
Give Beyonce a gold star in the "be prepared" category - or maybe she'd rather have a diamond. The 25-year-old pop singer - and new star of the Emporio Armani Diamonds fragrance ad campaign - said she's learned to be photo ready at all times. She carries three pairs of sunglasses (black, gold and brown) in her purse and a pair of nude-colored or gold shoes, in case she has to elevate her outfit at a moment's notice. Many "Beyonce sightings" happen while she's shopping, but the superstar said she loves the pastime too much to give it up because of the risk of an unflattering photo. "I enjoy shopping but I hate trying on clothes," she told The Associated Press in a recent interview. One of her latest purchases: an 18-karat gold ring with a "hear-no-evil" monkey made of 5 carats' worth of yellow diamonds surrounded by white ones. "I hear so many crazy things about myself that I'd rather not," she joked.
Web surfers apparently can’t get enough of video footage showing singer Beyonce tripping on a stage in Orlando. Lycos, the Massachusetts Internet search engine, said Knowles topped its list of terms people looked for the week ending Aug. 4. The week's other most popular terms were MySpace, YouTube, Pokemon, Naruto, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Disney, Clay Aiken and WWE.
